Great Pumpkin Paddle Destin

Join the Paddle Destin crew for the 1st Annual Stand Up Paddle Board ‘Great Pumpkin Paddle’ to be held on Saturday, October 20th, at Scully’s on the Bayou in Fort Walton Beach. Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Carved Pumpkin, Pumpkin Sprints and much, much MORE! Instead of Trick-or-Treating on the streets we’ll be Trick-or-Treating on the water. Registration is $25. each and includes your Limited Edition ‘Great Pumpkin Paddle’ t-shirt, lunch and a great goodie bag filled with great treats from our awesome sponsors. Raffle items will also be available with proceeds to benefit Shelter House, a local shelter for battered women & children. SUP Training with Paddle Destin

The Paddle Destin motto is 'We don't care what you paddle as long as you enjoy the ride', and that's exactly what we live by every day. All board brands, styles and sizes are always welcome to paddle with us at anytime, and from time to time we'll even have a few kayakers join the group.

Paddle Destin has been doing a weekly Monday training paddle for almost a year now. That's right.....Paddle Destin has been meeting every Monday for almost a year enjoying a paddle with friends and heading to dinner afterwards where they can sit and talk Stand Up Paddle boarding for hours. There's no telling what you'll hear with this group as they just can't get enough of being on the water with their SUP family.

Double Dipping is definitely allowed this Thursday afternoon on the Destin Harbor!

Our week at a glance:
1. Tuesday (7/31) - Training Paddle at Marler Park at 5:30pm
2. Thursday (8/2) - Thirsty Thursday Fireworks Paddle + Full Moon Paddle = Double Dipping Day. Paddle Starts at 6:30, Fireworks at 8:30 and Full Moon whenever it decides to shine!

Light Up the Destin Harbor

LIGHTS UP! This Thirsty Thursday, July 26th, let's light up the Destin Harbor like never before. Paddle starts at 6:30 and fireworks start at 8:30, but we want to see you and your board all lit up.... and BRIGHTER than ever! We have lots of SUP'er cool people so I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. See you on the water!

Paddle at the Porch Destin

Mark your calendars and save the date of August 18th, 2012. That's right....on Saturday, August 18th, 2012, there'll be a Stand Up Paddle Board Race in Destin, Florida like no other. Visitors from all over love the Emerald Coast and now we want to show off our beautiful coast to our extended SUP family. A lot of us travel all over attending Stand Up Paddle Board races. As a matter of fact we usually travel in a a large group and we always hear how everyone wants to visit Destin, FL. Now we're giving you the best reason ever so pack your boards and come see what Destin has to offer. This race is gonna be a must on your list of races so be one of the 1st to join us this year as you definitely don't want to miss this one.



Paddle at the Porch will take place on the beautiful beach behind the Back Porch restaurant in Destin, FL. More details will be coming up later this week so please stay tuned to our Facebook page for more information.

Shaka Destin

We just couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this amazing 'Shaka' handmade ornament made by one of our Paddle Destin Facebook friends, Bob Diehl. Bob loves SUP'ing just as much as we do, and in his spare time he gets busy crafting new designs for his special customers.

I had the opportunity to meet Bob and his lovely wife last year as they made a visit to Destin, Fl. Bob lives in Kentucky and he crafted the trophies for the GUSU Stand Up Paddle Classic Race series last year so he came to deliver some trophies and actually caught the last race and paddled with us. Between the woodwork and cruising on the water Bob stays pretty busy and we're looking forward to seeing him again real soon on the beautiful Emerald Coast.

Bob also made us this amazing Paddle Destin ornament.

Krewe De SUP Destin

On Saturday, February 4th, 2012, the Paddle Destin crew hit the Destin Harbor to ring in Mardi Gras on their 'Krewe De SUP' float. The float was stocked with beads galore along with t-shirts, trinkets and an overload of candy to entertain the crowd. Thousands of spectators watched the Krewe De SUP roll by, and we just had to be ourselves and let the good times roll. This group always has a great time when they get together, and celebrating Mardi Gras on the Destin Harbor was no exception.

Big THANKS goes out to Marine Max in Destin for allowing us to store our float and decorate it at their location, and to BOTE Boards and GUSU Paddlesports for the use of their stand up paddle boards on the float. We definitely appreciate all of our supporters and we look forward to meeting many more on the water this year.

Destin Full Moon Paddles

Our Full Moon Paddles will start on Thursday, March 8th, and we have them planned out for the next 6 months. All Paddles will take place at Norriego Point on the Destin Harbor. Pack a cooler & bring a chair and enjoy the Destin Harbor with the Paddle Destin crew.
Board demos will not be available for June, July or August paddles!

3rd Annual Penguin Plunge and Paddle Navarre

The Paddle Destin crew had a great time celebrating the 1st day of the New Year. We headed to Navarre Beach, FL to participate in the 3rd Annual Penguin Plunge & Paddle, hosted by Juana's, and benefitting the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast. This was the first year they added a SUP (Stand Up Paddle) division and what a success that was. 50 paddlers participated in the SUP race and another 160+ took the plunge to ring in the New Year.

Over $3,000. was raised for The Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and we'd like to thank all of our Paddle Destin friends who came out and supported this fun event that also benefitted a great cause. Hope to see you all on the water real soon.
